Did some more bleaching, for the most part I like the way the fabric turned out. If nothing else it is expanding my fabric stash . . . like it really need expanded. I am setting aside most of the ones that come out brown for a earth tone quilt, and cutting up the ones that came out really ugly into 1 1/2 inch strips for small 9-patches. Nothing will go to waste, if necessary they become string quilts and 9 patches. Had
enough fun with this
bleaching that I'm taking fabric that I like and bleaching just to see what will happen to it, what have i got to lose - a FQ.
Just when I think that I know how it will come out, I get surprised. Had a black background that I expected to become brown, I turn into a great plum color.

How much fun, playing with fabric and bleach. I've had it in the back of my mind to play with some natural dyes and solids--maybe when I'm bored and have nothing else to do, I'll try some. I have a freezer full of blackberries...I think I'll start with some of those.
